13008-0569 is Kawasaki's current standard piston-ring set for many of the engine configurations associated with this piston. It supersedes the older 13008-7005 piston-ring set.

Piston rings perform several important jobs inside the cylinder: they help seal combustion pressure, control oil on the cylinder wall and transfer heat from the piston to the cylinder.
